The "Paper Maps — Hike & Bike" guide offers a comprehensive tool for outdoor enthusiasts in San Diego's premier open space parks. Each trail requires a paper map, which serves as an essential resource for navigating these expansive natural areas.

While utilizing your GPS for tracking your location, it's important to have access to detailed trail maps.

Mission Trails Regional Park is one of the largest urban parks in the United States, encompassing over 7,000 acres. The park offers diverse recreational opportunities alongside rich native flora and fauna. Key features include Cowles Mountain, East Fortuna Staging Area (Equestrian Staging Area), Kumeyaay Lake and Campground, Old Mission Dam Historic Site, and Kwaay Paay Peak, among others.

Meanwhile, Black Mountain Open Space Park spans 2,352 acres and comprises a blend of chaparral-covered hills, ridges, and canyons, all managed by the City of San Diego. Mount Woodson and Iron Mountain are also notable destinations located in Poway.

 <li>Use two fingers to rotate the map</li>
 <li>Double-tap to zoom in one level</li>
 <li>Two-finger single-tap to zoom out one level</li>
 <li>Double-tap and long-press the second finger before panning up and down for "quick zoom" (one-hand mode)</li>
